Bonny Doon Art & Wine Fest

For the past 2 years we've participated in the Bonny Doon Art & Wine Fest, it's become one of our fave venues. We've done well there each year, always meet great new people who have become friends and are happy that a portion of what we sell goes towards the art & music program for the elementary school. I wish there were more events, festivals & programs that put money towards preserving creativity & imagination among our youth by keeping the arts alive.  We are excited to be chosen as the featured artists this year! Mark your calendars and join us for a pleasant afternoon of art, food & wine.

We've got it covered...

Wow, Sunset Magazine again! This time it's their "Small Backyard, Big Ideas" special edition issue which will be on shelves until June. We ended up on the cover with a nice two page photo inside. I recommend checking out this issue, there's lots of great ideas inside and plenty of creative inspiration for the DIY crowd or for those of you that would rather hire some local metal and concrete artists *wink wink*

In the Press...

Not a bad way to start off the New Year, eh? We're stoked to have made it into the Feb. issue of Sunset Magazine which talks about what's in the new Sunset Western Garden Book -  yes we made it into THE book! Thanks to Dig Gardens for including our work in the garden design which lead to us all getting a piece of the Sunset Magazine action. Here's the link...

New Year Greetings!

Before January is completely over I wanted to wish everyone a happy, healthy & enlightened New Year! I have a feeling we can make this a good one despite all the chaos going on in the world around us. My thoughts are that if we work together, support each other and stand up for our passions and what we believe anything is possible. We all can make a difference and we can start right here in our own communities.  I may be biased but I truly appreciate the sense of community and the importance people put into supporting local businesses & the local economy here in Santa Cruz.  One of our goals this year is to give back and share our talents with those who seek to be more creative and just need a little direction or some inspiration.  We'll be teaching industrial arts for the ROP(Regional Occupational Program) this year at Soquel High School and we're finally, yes finally, offering workshops here at our studio! So get ready to get down & dirty! Womens Welding, Firepit Making and even a Barbecue How To are in the works for spring.

26th Annual Open Studios Tour

Holy Smokes! I can't believe it's almost here and there's still so much to do! This will be our 1st year participating in Open Studios. For those of you who don't know what it is, the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz puts on an art tour througout the county. It's a juried event and there over 200 artists involved. There are calenders available for purchase that list all the artists as well as maps of their locations. It only happens once a year and it's a great opportunity to get a behind the scenes glimpse of artisans and their studios. We have calenders for sale or you can find them through the Cultural Council. http://www.ccscc.org/index.php/open-studios.html

We're in North County and our studio will be open the 1st & 3rd weekends of October from 11-5pm. Come check us out we'd luv to see everyone!
